Dump Reversal Peak Trail v2 (DRPT)

Dump Reversal Peak Trail v2 (DRPT) is an open-source TradingView strategy that buys capitulation dips and rides the rebound with a peak-retrace trailing exit; it is non-repainting and suited to liquid majors and top alts on 5–15 minute charts. Developed by the GeekTrade team — use it for free on TradingView and connect it to geektrade.online for automated execution on Bybit.

How it works

  • Detect a dump. The strategy looks for a single-bar "dump" that breaks the N-day low (using prior daily bars). That arms the logic.
  • Wait for confirmation. It does not buy the knife. It waits for the first green close that also passes flatness and minimum-rebound filters, so you enter on confirmation, not the low tick.
  • Trail from the peak. Once in a trade, it tracks the highest close since entry. After a minimum profit is reached, it exits on a configurable retrace from that peak (peak-retrace trailing exit).
  • Cooldown. A cooldown period helps avoid immediate re-entries and overtrading.

You can tune anomaly threshold, flatness, rebound, and trailing parameters per symbol and venue. DRPT is aimed at liquid majors and top alts on 5–15 minute charts.
